Our last fund raiser is the muffin fund raiser next Monday. Last day to bring in slip/muffin choice is Wednesday. Thank you for all the permission slips. The trip will be here before you know it!!!!
This is the hard part of the year- nice weather and more time to play. Please talk to your child that SCHOOL IS NOT OVER and that homework and studying is still FIRST AND FOREMOST........ and getting HARDER EVERYDAY!!!!!!!! The homework is sloppy and studying is suffering by the grades on tests, quizzes and projects. They are quite restless, social and very, very talkative. I love them all too much to see the last semester decline .
GRADE 7:
RELIGION- 2 sacraments of healing test Monday; Venn diagram connecting the 2 sacraments with the Eucharist;plan to have students research a parable of forgiveness in a set group to write a little script and perform for the class
ADVANCED MATH- % of increase and decrease; geometry
SPANISH- learning conversational expressions- plan to have students write simple dialogues to perform; small quizzes will be given; the temporary verb "estar"; hw activities to correlate with this verb; "ir" verb test Wednesday( 7S ) and Thursday ( 7N )
HEALTH- Venn diagram about blood; heart diagram for 7S
GRADE 8:
ADVANCED MATH- completing the multilpication properties of exponents section; test Tuesday; division properties of exponents
SPANISH- learning to use the 2 forms of "gustar" with food vocabulary; homework activities will focus on this verb; test Wednesday on "querer" ( not gustar) with food vocabulary and complete sentence writing; *****please note that "querer" is an irregular stem-change verb and that the correct spelling with the "ie" is important and correct*****
